I chose the black dial because I wanted an automatic watch I could wear with basically anything. The colour keeps it clean and understated, while the angular case and bracelet give it much more wrist presence than a conventional round watch. It feels reassuringly solid on the wrist and the Seiko NH35 automatic movement has been running well. Out of the watches I own, this has probably become the easiest one to grab without having to think about whether it works with what I’m wearing.
