Which Seiko Submariner mod should you buy?

Short answer: all eight Submariner-style builds run a genuine Seiko NH35 automatic in a case of about 40mm with sapphire crystal, at the same starting price, so choose by colour and by how much water you need. Standard builds are splash-resistant; Swim-Ready (5 ATM) and Dive-Ready (10 ATM) upgrades are available when you order.

Picking a colour

The Black is the classic. Blue and Black Blue (black dial, blue bezel) are the easy alternatives. Green fans choose between the Hulk and the Kermit (black dial, green bezel): see Hulk vs Kermit explained. The Gold Blue pairs a blue sunburst dial with a gold case and bracelet. Two Tone Black and Cookie Monster round out the range.

Is a Submariner mod a real automatic?

Yes. Each one runs a genuine Seiko NH35 automatic. It is fully mechanical and self-winding, powered by the motion of your wrist.

Can I swim or dive with it?

Not as standard. Standard builds are splash-resistant: fine for rain, hand-washing and everyday wear, but not for swimming, showering or diving. To swim with it, add the Swim-Ready 5 ATM upgrade when you order. Submariner builds can also take the Dive-Ready 10 ATM upgrade with a closed caseback. Screw the crown down before any water.

Is this an original watch?

Yes. Every watch is an original Rosevari build: a genuine Japanese automatic movement in a case and dial style that pays homage to the classics. Every watch is sold openly as a Rosevari custom build, never as the genuine article, and we disclose every part we use.

How much does it cost and how long does it take?
