Read the dial.
Not the case. Not the bracelet. The two words printed on it.
It says SEIKO. Underneath that, AUTOMATIC. That is the entire claim this watch makes about itself, and both halves are true.
Now look at what is not printed there. No chronometer certification it never passed. No Swiss town it has never been to. No name borrowed off a watch that costs five figures. In this shape, at this price, that empty space is usually where the lying happens.
On this one it stays empty. Which tells you where the money went instead.
What A$329 actually buys
A genuine Seiko NH35 automatic. A sapphire crystal, not mineral glass. A 41 mm case and fully integrated bracelet in 316L marine-grade steel. A date at three. Every part named, nothing dressed up.
Which brings us to the dial.
Brushed steel with a black dial is the quiet one. No colour, no shine, nothing doing the talking except the shape. People who know this design recognise it across a room, and nobody else asks a single question. The horizontal embossing is the only decoration on it, and it is the only one it needs.
Now the price
The original of this design costs five figures and comes with a waiting list. Here is what that money buys that this watch does not have. A showroom on the most expensive street in the city. An authorised dealer's margin. Decades of advertising you have already sat through. A waitlist that exists mainly to make you want it more.
None of that ends up on your wrist.
No showroom rent. No middleman. No brand tax. You are paying for the movement, the crystal and the steel, and nothing else. That saving is built in before the watch ships, not handed back at checkout as a discount code. It is also why we don't haggle. The watch is the deal.
“Then why not just buy a Seiko?”
Good question, and the honest answer is that this is a Seiko where it counts. The NH35 is the workhorse automatic Seiko builds, and the calibre the whole modding world runs on. What changed is everything around it: sapphire instead of mineral glass, marine-grade steel, and a case and bracelet Seiko has never made in this shape.
The movement
It winds itself as you wear it. It can be hand-wound if it has been sitting in a drawer. And it hacks when you pull the crown, so you set it to the second rather than to roughly the right minute. It is the workhorse the whole modding world is built on, for the good reason that it keeps running.
One thing to know before you order
It is 50 m water resistant. Rain, handwashing, everyday wear, all fine. Not a dive watch, so don't swim in it.
If something goes wrong
You deal with one person, not a support queue. Our ABN is published, and messages get answered in minutes, not days.

What is a Seiko mod?
What is a Seiko mod?
A watch built on a genuine Seiko automatic movement (the NH-series mechanical calibre Seiko uses in its own watches), fitted with a custom case, dial, hands and bracelet in a design inspired by iconic timepieces. Self-winding, no battery, serviceable for decades. It's not a copy of anyone's watch and we never pretend otherwise: it's the mechanical heart you want, without the luxury markup. Questions people ask before ordering
Is this a real watch or a fake?
It is a real watch and an original Rosevari build. Inside is a genuine Seiko automatic movement; the case, sapphire crystal and dial are parts we choose and stand behind. A fake is sold as the genuine article. Every Rosevari is sold openly as exactly what it is, a custom Seiko mod, with every part disclosed.
Is it automatic?
Every watch runs a genuine Seiko movement. GMT models use the self-winding NH34 automatic with an independently set GMT hand, datejust styles use the NH35 automatic, and chronograph builds use the VK63 meca-quartz. The exact movement for this watch is named in the specifications above.
How much does it cost?
This build is $329.00 AUD with free shipping. Prices are shown in Australian dollars for Australian customers, and there are no extra charges at checkout for AU orders.
How long until it is on my wrist?
Every watch is made to order and takes 2 to 3 weeks to reach you. If it arrives faulty, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered, we repair, replace or refund it and pay the postage both ways.
